Iguanas are predators that can eat other animals. Therefore, you should not have any other pets in your home if you are going to have an iguana in the house. Also, you should not have it with other pets because those pets could easily step on and seriously harm the iguana.

They will not work with small children because children may not be fully responsible in terms of owning an iguana. With all of the high maintenance that is involved with owning an iguana it is best to not have an iguana as a pet for a child.
